Without Page there would be no EVH.His inspiration for eruption came from Jimmy Page he saw him doing open strring arpeggios and realised that he could be the same but barring with his index finger and fretting with his "tapping"hand and thats where tapping started.Led Zeppelin were a great band Page could write country, rock, acoustic riffs when he wanted.Bron Yr Aur is great acoustic folk guitar,he may not be a "shredder" but he wrote some indestructible riffs IMO

Edward's main influence, was Clapton. Since the days of Mammoth, they were known as the "Junior Cream".

Eddie & Jimmy Page are two equally great legendary rock guitarists with few equals who defined what rock & roll is all about with their guitar virtuosity & are in a class all by themselves!

Page is still the man. He thinks in terms of texture and composition which is a contrast to EVH. His ear for production stands the test of time.....
I've seen Page play live a few times over the years and quite frankly his live playing has been superb with ungodly tone. In the past, Page was sloppy and reckless and played from the gut but for the past few years, He seems to have a great command of the instrument that only a life time of playing can accomplish.
Now if only these guys will do a proper 'Zep tour with Jason Bonham and John Paul Jones, they would have the tour of the century (next to classic VH reuniting of course!).

Dammit !!! In love both those guys........I love the way eddie plays the Rover on the "Goldenwest Ballroom " bootleg. The vocals are shoty, but the guitar is AWSOME!!!.
I must say Jimmy is bad ass,and Eddie is bad ass................I would pay top dollar to see em both..
I would love jimmy to make an attempt at playing a Van Halen song,he probably would struggle though ....
